4/5/2015 – I am beginning to place another order with you. the 10" funnel, I see it comes with a filter screen, I will be using it to filter wine, is it a coarse screen, or fine mesh? I will be needing both. Just need to know which one to order extra.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: These mesh strainers are pretty fine, and work well for separating solids from the wine (like sediment), but they are not wine FILTERS. Wine filters are typically are paper-like (similar to coffee filters)and have different "grades" depending on how much filtration you actually require. Most wines, after clarification, can be bottled without . . .

1/26/2008 – I live about an hour (if traffic is good) from the address on your website. Do you have an actual store or is everything here based solely online?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, we have an actual brick-and-mortar store in Everett, WA. People actually walk in and buy stuff! Our address is:Homebrew Heaven9121 Evergreen WayEverett, WA 98204Heck, you can actually call us on the phone, too! It's 425-355-8865. A person will actually answer as long as it's business hours!
7/25/2007 – I've used your funnel with the screen in place when transfering the wort from the boil into the fermenter. The screen always seems to get clogged. Is there a better way to filter out the hop pellet particles / trub?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Not really. Hop pellet particles just do that. There is no harm whatsoever in transferring them to your fermenter, however. They will settle out naturally. Just siphon away the good stuff!
6/27/2006 – Do the plastic funnels for brewing come with screens in them? If so are the screens a fine mesh? Also do you sell a sight glass for a keg that can be mounted on the side? I need to know the fluid level in my brew kettle.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, they come with screens that are "relatively" fine mesh.Yes, we now have sight glasses for brew kettles. see link
4/15/2006 – Is the price of $8.95 for the 10" funnel just for one? Thanks
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes it is.
3/15/2005 – I would like to filter hops, fruit etc. while I siphon into my fermenter. Would any of your screens work well when attached to a siphon hose? Do you have any other suggestions outside of a tapped kettle connected to a bazooka screen?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The real problem will be getting the stuff thru your siphon hose. If you are willing to pour the wort:In our Brewing Accessories category we have a variety of straining bags that might well serve this purpose. There are also funnels with straining screens that can be used.
1/17/2005 – Do these funnels (specifically the larger diameter ones) fit on the top of 6 gallon carboys? We have two glass 6 gallon carboys and only one 6 gallon plastic bucket... we were hoping to be able to pour straight from the brewpot into the funnel/strainer and right into a carboy instead of a bucket. The large diameter funnel we found at a local . . .
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The 8" diameter (and smaller) all fit into the opening of the 6 gallon carboy. The larger ones don't.
