1/26/2008 – I live about an hour (if traffic is good) from the address on your website. Do you have an actual store or is everything here based solely online?

7/15/2005 – I just ordered a pot with a 1/2" Thru wall fitting installed for a ball valve. My question is what should i put on the inside to keep all the loose hops from draining through into my fermenter?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: If you are using leaf hops, it's easy just to throw them into a hop bag, and remove them after the boil. Here is a link to that product.Another way (with leaf hops) is to use a false bottom kit or a mesh kettle screen inside your brew kettle. When using pellet hops, straining out the residue is usually not effective. Most brewers just allow them to go into the primary fermenter, where they settle out. When you siphon into your secondary fermenter (carboy) the residue stays behind. There is nothing wrong with this approach either!
4/4/2005 – I just brewed the DK IPA and would like to get your re-useable hop bag but I can't find it on your web site, please help.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Actually, you can re-use the muslin bag that comes with the kit, but see below for a link to them.
3/15/2005 – I would like to filter hops, fruit etc. while I siphon into my fermenter. Would any of your screens work well when attached to a siphon hose? Do you have any other suggestions outside of a tapped kettle connected to a bazooka screen?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The real problem will be getting the stuff thru your siphon hose. If you are willing to pour the wort:In our Brewing Accessories category we have a variety of straining bags that might well serve this purpose. There are also funnels with straining screens that can be used.
3/5/2005 – Is the "Muslin Hop And Grain Bag" (SKU:C42) the same idea as the bazooka screen but rather than drain the pot through a valve you just remove the bag and drain the pot w/a syphon etc? What about adding finishing hops? Another bag (what if you use a b-tube)?Thanks, Brodie
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, it's basically the same idea. The bag will hold back grain or hops. Another bag for finishing hops is handy alright. It shouldn't interfer with a blowoff tube, if that is what you mean.
12/26/2004 – can you use the hop and grain boiling bag for pellet hops or just for leaf type hops?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: It will only retain leaf hops. The pellets break up into fine pieces that settle out later.
