1/6/2013 – I'm purchasing the 8 gallon brew pot with stainless steel spigot. What is the outside diameter of the spigot? I plan to use a hose to transfer the wort from the brew pot to the fermentor and I don't know what size to order.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The spigot comes with a female (1/2" NPT) on the outlet end, so to use it in this way, you will need a barbed fitting that screws into the spigot. See below for links to these products.

4/13/2010 – I ordered a Stainless Brewpot with installed stainless spigot. What diameter hose do I need to attach to spigot and does it have a barbed fitting?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The spigot kit does not come with a barbed fitting on the outlet side. We can certainly add one to your order, however, as well as the hose if you like. Please respond ASAP if you do.We have both stainless steel and brass barbed fittings that screw into the spigot. See product links below. Each barbed fitting has either a 3/8" or a 1/2" . . .

3/19/2007 – I'm looking for a good SS brewpot, preferrably 7.5 gallons. I have a question about the best way to transfer the hot wort through a plate&frame wort chiller into a stainless fermenter. Should I:A) Pour the hot wort into the fermenter, gravity drain from fermenter through the chiller and back into the brewpot, then pour the chilled wort . . .
Response From Homebrew Heaven: I would definately go with B). Why transfer twice, when it's unnecessary to do so?Just a bit of advice...if you are using a plate and frame type wort chiller, sometimes it takes a fair amount of pressure (or in your case, elevation) in order to get the wort thru the chiller. I would try to determine how much, and get sufficient hose to . . .
3/7/2007 – When I buy a brewpot with the spigot installed, is the spigot "tube ready" and what size tubing will I need to go with it?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: By "tube ready" I am assuming you mean some kind of tube on the OUTside of the spigot, for the purpose of draining the wort into a carboy, for instance. No, an installed spigot kit is a bulkhead (thru-wall)fitting, a threaded nipple and a spigot only. Many people don't need or want a tube on the outside since they just open the valve and . . .
11/5/2006 – I live in Seattle, can I come and pick up the bottles in Everett? Do you have a "brick and mortar" store?

5/25/2006 – I've looked at your list and it looks great. What if I want to also include a brew kettle screen (to filter leaf hops out) as well as be able to attach a hose to the Pan to drain it directly in the fermentor? And are there any additional acccessories you think would be useful?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Easy. The Kettle Screen screws directly into the back side of your spigot kit. No need for anything additional. On the outside of your spigot, you can attach a Barbed Fitting (1/2"). Below is a link to that product. Here is a link to the hose:You'll need about 4 feet of hose, I'm guessing.
1/20/2006 – How does the BrewMometer stainless steel thermometer connect to the brewpot? I want to order a brewpot also. Do I need to order these items together so you can install it? Also, do you recommend it for beginners? Also, I am going to order the spigot, do I need a certain type of connection piece or hose to go with it?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Recommendation on brewpot: Get as large a pot as you can manage. To connect the BrewMometer you'll also need to order a Thru-Wall Fitting (we'll install it for you!). Here is a link to that product. You could order just a spigot, but if you want it installed into your brewpot, order the Brewpot Spig Kit (it includes the Thru-Wall Fitting . . .
8/19/2005 – I ordered a spigot and it was installed by you. I need to know what I need to thread a hose into the spigot so I can run the hose directly into the fermentor.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: A barbed fitting will do the trick, along with some hose and a hose clamp. Here is a link to the barbed fittings (either brass or stainless steel). The hose will just push onto the barbed fitting, but if you like you can tighten it down with a common hose clamp.
4/4/2005 – I am interested in purchasing the Brewpot Spigot Kit (Installed) with my brewpot purchase. What size tubing goes on the spigot..is it threaded so it will hold the tubing or do I need to use a clamp?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The ball valve actually has 1/2"NPT (female) thread on the outlet side. We have both stainless and brass barbed fittings that you can screw into the ball valve to accomodate either 3/8" or 1/2" ID tubing.
2/1/2005 – Where can I buy the hops to brew the beer? I live in Plainview, Texas....would love to brew my own. But, I need the ingredients to brew it. will buy your equipment, so....where can I buy the goodies to brew it?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Right here! We have a large selection of hops, yeasts, grains and everything you need in the way of ingredients. Here is a link:A good way to get started is to choose one of our ingredient (recipe) kits. They get you started the right way!
12/19/2004 – I just bought a 9 gallon brew kettle with the spigot kit installed. After brewing my first batch of beer, I have now realized how useful a barbed fitting on the "out" side would be.. can you tell me the dimensions and thread size of your spigot kit so I can go and buy one for use on my next brew? I could probably find something like it at . . .
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, barbed fittings are easy to obtain. The thread size is 1/2" NPT, and you can get different sized barbs. We have them too, of course. Shipping charges are pretty nominal. Maybe you need something beside the fitting?
