7/23/2014 – I've got a few five gallon batches experience under my belt and was considering a kegging system from your store. My question is for transporting the beer I figured a growler would be a good fit but how might I do that with little foam over?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: There are a few tricks to transfering your beer to bottles, while maintaining good carbonation:1) get the beer as cold as possible to reduce foaming2) get the bottles as cold as possible. Same reason.3) fill from the bottom of the bottle up. Same reason.4) quickly cap the bottles immediately after filling themThe "poor man's . . .

4/13/2010 – I ordered a Stainless Brewpot with installed stainless spigot. What diameter hose do I need to attach to spigot and does it have a barbed fitting?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The spigot kit does not come with a barbed fitting on the outlet side. We can certainly add one to your order, however, as well as the hose if you like. Please respond ASAP if you do.We have both stainless steel and brass barbed fittings that screw into the spigot. See product links below. Each barbed fitting has either a 3/8" or a 1/2" . . .
6/18/2008 – Hello, I recently switched to kegging and love it! The only problem I run into now is bottling my beer to pass out. Since I don't have any tube thick enough to fit over my faucet I poured beer into a pitcher and then used the bottle filling wand to fill the bottles. When my friends tasted the beer they said it was great, however it had gone . . .

2/7/2007 – Can these be used for temps up to 200 degrees?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: It can be done, but over time it will degrade. It is inexpensive, however, so replacing it is not a big problem. We now offer a high temperature version of this hose. See link below.
12/13/2005 – Can these hoses theoretically be used to direct the outflow of 95% ethanol into a collection vat, or will they dissolve?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: No, this tubing would dissolve. Sorry. This is vinyl material for siphoning beer and wine only.
3/15/2005 – I would like to filter hops, fruit etc. while I siphon into my fermenter. Would any of your screens work well when attached to a siphon hose? Do you have any other suggestions outside of a tapped kettle connected to a bazooka screen?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The real problem will be getting the stuff thru your siphon hose. If you are willing to pour the wort:In our Brewing Accessories category we have a variety of straining bags that might well serve this purpose. There are also funnels with straining screens that can be used.
9/13/2004 – Would it be possible to receive longer flexible tubing on the chiller so that I can leave the boiling kettle on the stove for chilling? That would save me the trouble of hauling the kettle to the sink, but would require about 10 feet of the flexible tubing on both ends.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Just order about 20 feet of 3/8" tubing, and you've got it. The wort chiller itself comes with about 3 1/2 feet on each end. Here is a link to the tubing:
9/25/2003 – What size hose does this thing require and if I buy the siphon starter do they fit together or do I need more hose or couplings?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: It can be put onto either the 5/16" ID or the 3/8" ID hoses.
9/20/2003 – does the auto syphon come with everything needed to syphon? hose, etc.?
