12/29/2014 – Hi am into herbal home brewing and I do what to use plastic bottles for my bottling instested of glass bottles. Pls do advice me much on this. Thank U.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Either type of bottle (glass or plastic) can be used for home brewing. Choose the type that you prefer. See links below.
8/24/2012 – Can these beer bottles handle champagne? Is the bottle thickness the same as traditional sparkling wine bottles?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, they will work just fine. They are designed to hold internal pressure (like champagne/sparkling wine bottles). Not sure of the exact wall thickness, but we've never had a problem with using them in this way.
8/16/2012 – Will the bottle caps that come with this kit work on screw top beer bottles?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: We can't guarentee it. Screw top bottles are typically thinner, and designed for screw caps. We recommend recappable (pry off) beer bottles only. Some people use screw top bottles, but occasionally they don't seal. Too disappointing to be worth it!
6/11/2012 – I just purchased your deluxe brewing kit and 3 ingredient kits. I live in Maine and it looks like shipping bottles will be cost prohibitive. Can I use 16oz plastic beer bottles and do you sell them? Respectfully, Mark Haskell
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, plastic bottles can be used, they just don't look "traditional". As long as your beer is stored out of bright light, I see no probelm. We do sell them, see link below. It is often easy to find re-cappable bottles locally, from bars, taverns and recycling places. Respectfully? Wow. We don't get THAT much!Enjoy

1/26/2008 – I live about an hour (if traffic is good) from the address on your website. Do you have an actual store or is everything here based solely online?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, we have an actual brick-and-mortar store in Everett, WA. People actually walk in and buy stuff! Our address is:Homebrew Heaven9121 Evergreen WayEverett, WA 98204Heck, you can actually call us on the phone, too! It's 425-355-8865. A person will actually answer as long as it's business hours!
11/1/2007 – When re-using bottles, is it okay to rinse them with hot water when they're empty and then store them dry until ready to bottle? When ready to bottle, I'd wash them again with hot soap/water, hot rinse, rinse with sanitizing solution, cold rinse and dry before filling. Is there any limit to how many times a glass bottle should be re-used? . . .
Response From Homebrew Heaven: That is more than enough! Yes, a quick rinse after using is good. As long as your bottles are not dirty, you can probably bypass the hot soap/water routine, and just sanitize. With quality glass bottles, there is no limit to how many times they can be (re)used. No worries!
11/5/2006 – I live in Seattle, can I come and pick up the bottles in Everett? Do you have a "brick and mortar" store?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: You sure can. It is literally made of bricks and mortar, in South Everett. Our address is:Homebrew Heaven9121 Evergreen WayEverett, WA 98204425-355-8865Hours are 10am-6:30pm Monday-Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturdaysand 10am-3pm on Sundays
9/25/2006 – I am starting to collect bottles from around town. I heard rumor from a friend that if I used a clear bottle I needed to do something additional to the beer, but then from another I heard that was for green bottles.Does is matter the color of glass bottle used in brewing? If so, what is the best glass color. And what additional work does . . .
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Clear and green bottles allow harmful light rays to affect the beer. If you keep your beer away from intense light, especially sunlight and florescent lights, it's not an issue.Brown beer bottles are the best, without a doubt.
2/1/2005 – Where can I buy the hops to brew the beer? I live in Plainview, Texas....would love to brew my own. But, I need the ingredients to brew it. will buy your equipment, so....where can I buy the goodies to brew it?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Right here! We have a large selection of hops, yeasts, grains and everything you need in the way of ingredients. Here is a link:A good way to get started is to choose one of our ingredient (recipe) kits. They get you started the right way!
10/12/2004 – Do you know the circumfrence of the 22oz bottles? I am having some labels made for a friend of mine and it is a surprise so I can't ask him! Any info you have would be great!
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The circumference is 9", the diameter is 2.75" or so.
6/3/2004 – do you guys carry 240z bottles?if so how much a case...thx
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Not 24 oz, but we do have 22 oz bottles. See link
1/20/2004 – How tall are the 22 Oz. bottles?

11/2/2003 – My father wants to make root beer. I understand that you have ingredients for the root beer but where can i get the equipment to bottle and make the root beer in?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Right here at Homebrew Heaven! We have bottling equipment in the Beer Brewing section, and food grade buckets etc in the Carboys/Fermenters section.See below for the links to take you there
6/12/2003 – I was wondering if these particular bottles are twist off caps, or pop off caps?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: These bottle are the pop-off type, NOT twist off. You will need a capper to apply the caps. A standard bottle opener will remove them.
