4/13/2010 – I ordered a Stainless Brewpot with installed stainless spigot. What diameter hose do I need to attach to spigot and does it have a barbed fitting?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The spigot kit does not come with a barbed fitting on the outlet side. We can certainly add one to your order, however, as well as the hose if you like. Please respond ASAP if you do.We have both stainless steel and brass barbed fittings that screw into the spigot. See product links below. Each barbed fitting has either a 3/8" or a 1/2" barb available. Personally, I like the stainless version with a 1/2" barb and 1/2" ID hose.
1/30/2008 – Hi there. I bought an auto-siphon from a local Liquor Barn, but they do not have any hoses that don't come in a kit. It looks exactly like yours but in the instructions it says to use a 7/16" x 9/16" siphon hose whereas you are saying to use 5/16". I am confused!
Response From Homebrew Heaven: We can't say for sure what product you have (we don't shop at Liquor Barn), but we actually have TWO sizes of auto-siphons.Our large size actually takes a 1/2" (8/16") ID siphon hose. It sounds like you may have that model. Perhaps they sell a different one. Again, we don't know. Here is a link to the hose for our large size autosiphon

5/4/2005 – what is the o.d. of the 1/2 i.d. siphon tube
Response From Homebrew Heaven: It is 5/8" OD (1/16" wall thickness).
3/15/2005 – I would like to filter hops, fruit etc. while I siphon into my fermenter. Would any of your screens work well when attached to a siphon hose? Do you have any other suggestions outside of a tapped kettle connected to a bazooka screen?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The real problem will be getting the stuff thru your siphon hose. If you are willing to pour the wort:In our Brewing Accessories category we have a variety of straining bags that might well serve this purpose. There are also funnels with straining screens that can be used.
7/19/2004 – What size hose do you use with this larger cane?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: You would need 7/16" or 1/2" ID tubing to use this item. We have now added the 1/2" hose to the website.
