Response From Homebrew Heaven: They are 1/2" NPT. Please understand that you cannot simply measure across the opening. NPT stands for National Pipe Threads, as decribed here:

7/5/2009 -- I have a question about your spigots/ball valves. This has nothing to do with brewing that being said here goes. I have seen turkey fryers out there with spigots built in to the pots. Well i already have a 32 qt turkey fryer and was wondering if your spigots can handle the heat of a turkey fryer. Again keep in mind i don't brew so i am . . .

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, our ball valve spigots can easily handl that kind of temperature. We typically use propane cookers to brew.

The stainless steel ball valves are probably the most durable (more so than the brass ones).

3/17/2009 -- First off your website has been the most helpful out of all that I have visited. I would like to order several things, but really want that stainless ball valve on a pot. Any idea when they may be in stock again?

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Sorry about the shortage on that. Sometimes our stock gets depleted and we aren't aware of it.

These ball valves are now on order (backordered) and will be available in about two weeks. I changed the status to "backordered" so that if you want to go ahead and order now, you can.

2/22/2007 -- Do you install this item? What other parts will I need?

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, we do, into the pots that we sell. All you need is a thru wall fitting (either brass or stainless steel, we have both) and a threaded nipple (we also have that). Just make a note in the Customer Comments section at checkout and we will make it happen. No extra charge.

1/20/2005 -- Hi, Can i get a kettle with the AR 316 spigot installed? Also does the AR 316 have 1/2" NPT threads? One more, if i get a wort chiller at the same time can you notch the lid or is that a bad idea? - Thanks

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Well, it takes more than just the spigot. The spigot (ball valve) has 1/2" NPT female threads, so you would need a bulkhead fitting in the pot, and a threaded nipple to go inbetween the bulkhead fitting and the ball valve. We can install a brass bulkhead fitting, if you like.
