About Using Specialty Grains
| Beer Brewing / Specialty Grains | X |
|
Specialty Grains are how we control the color, body and
flavor of our beer. If you are an extract brewer, put your crushed
grains into a muslin bag (item C42) and throw them into the water
as it heats up. It is important to remove the grains at about 170
deg.F (before boiling). If you are an all-grain brewer, these
grains are added to the mash.
Our
website now allows you to order less than one pound, if that's what
you need! You can By clicking on Options, you can choose either
pounds or ounces for that grain. Remember, there are 16 ounces in 1
pound.
