10/18/2006 -- hello guys, this is frenchy here i,ve been reading about home distilling and stills, for about 3 months now. i just wanted to know why in every design there's no pressure relieve valve what happens to the pressure inside the boiler and column. i really don't understand if it has to be air tight when the boiling starts the pressure has got to go somewhere. thanks alot for you're time and patience.

3/6/2004 -- I have "Compleat Distiller" on my shopping list for general purposes. Do you know if this book covers the use of potatoes (versus grains) as the base for the fermentation stage, or do I need to search for additional "informational" materials? Thanks.
