Heck, you can actually call us on the phone, too! It's 425-355-8865. A person will actually answer as long as it's business hours!
9/1/2007 -- Do people use the liqueur in beer as well?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: This product is not a liqueur, but a liqueur FLAVORING essence. I see no reason why it can't be used in beer, however. Don't know of anyone doing so.
4/12/2007 -- So could I use the Irish whiskey essence with vodka, and then that mix with the Irish cream essence? Would it be recommended, or would vodka be just fine?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, you could certainly do that. Or just mix the irish cream essence with commercial irish whiskey.
1/22/2006 -- instead of vodka can I use irish whisky?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, absolutely. That is what we recommend for Irish Cream.
3/6/2004 -- instead of vodka can you use irish wisky?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Absoutely. Better yet!
11/21/2003 -- Your Instructions you say 6.5 oz. of water. Do you mean whipping cream?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Thanks for correcting us. I just fixed the instructions. It should read "whipping cream". Actually, I like to use 1/2 and 1/2 or even just milk, myself. I find the whipping cream makes it pretty thick.
8/13/2003 -- WHAT IS THE EXPECTED PRICE TO GET STARTED FOR EQUIPMENT ON MAKING THE LIQUEURS?
DOES IT INVOLVED HAVE COMPLETE SET UPS LIKE IN MAKING WINE?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: No, most home liquers are not "brewed" at all, but are simply "infused" with alcohol (usually vodka or brandy) from the local liquor store. Only simple kitchen utinsels are necessary (jars, wood spoon, measuring cups etc). Therefore the only costs are for the ingredients like fruit, herbs, flavorings and liquor. We also have flavorings (essence) that you simply add (along with sugar) to vodka-like spirits to create "instant" liqueurs.
For gifts, it's nice to put your liqueurs into fancy bottles however, and apply your own custom labels!
