ORDERING POLICY
Homebrew Heaven strives to ship all orders within 2
to 3 Business days from receipt. If we happen to be out of an item,
we will make every effort to contact you regarding reasonable
substitutions, backorders, etc. We want HAPPY customers!
In case we are unable to reach you via phone,
voicemail, and/or email and we have not received a response from
you within 2 business days after attempting contact, we reserve the
right to process your order with reasonable substitutions, (i.e.;
pellet vs. leaf hops) unless you have specifically advised us not
to, when you originally placed your order. Please note that
SOME orders may be subject to cancellation if we have not received
a response from you within 3 business days. 5 days for PayPal
orders.
Homebrew Heaven uses a safe and secure ordering
system over the Internet. If you are uncomfortable with providing
your credit card information over the web, you can always print the
contents of your shopping cart by highlighting ALL items in the
cart (including order total) and either fax, or snail mail your
order in to us. Be sure to include your personal check or money
order. Please note that orders received with personal checks are
subject to additional delay until the check clears and funds are
available to Homebrew Heaven.

You will automatically receive a confirmation of your order, and
you can print out a copy for your records.
 SHIPPING POLICY: Homebrew Heaven strives to send your
package in the best, and most economical way possible. Within the
U.S., this is normally by FEDEX or U.S. (Priority) Mail. You may
now select the service that is right for YOU. We do NOT send
packages COD, or invoice for shipments.
Orders to APO's/FPO's and PO Boxes MUST use U.S. Priority Mail. Due
to security issues, package tracking is not available to these
addresses. FEDEX and UPS do not deliver to these addresses, anyway.
Any lost packages or damaged products via U.S. Mail to APO's/FPO's
cannot be replaced.
OUTSIDE the U.S.: Normally, we use Fedex International Economy
service. We have found that low cost surface mail is often
unreliable. If you request these services, we will adjust the
shipping and rates accordingly, but will NOT be responsible for
non-delivery. We cannot guarantee delivery of any orders outside of
the U.S. in any case.
LARGE and Heavy Items:
Some items, such as Fruit Presses and Grape Crusher/Destemmers MUST
be sent by commercial truck, and can be expensive. We will be happy
to provide an estimate on those items if you like. The shipping
estimate on the website may have to be adjusted on these items.
Shipments of these items are to U.S. addresses only.
HOLIDAY GIFTS: Our website allows you to specify a different "ship
to" address, so that we can ship your gifts directly to the
recipient. If you want us to send a copy of the invoice to you,
instead of putting it into the box, just let us know in the
"comment" section at checkout.
All shipping rates are subject to change at any
time. We may be required to make adjustments for unusually bulky or
heavy items, and orders that require more than one box. We make
every effort to be fair about this, but sometimes it may be
necessary.

If you are not completely satisfied with your order
when it arrives, any item in new, unused condition can be returned
for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase
(shipping charges not included). We guarantee your
satisfaction for 30 days from the day you receive your
package.
Our desire is to provide you the opportunity to shop
for the highest quality products from the convenience of your home
or office. When your package arrives we want it to be better than
you expected. If it is not, we want to know about it.
We encourage you to contact us by e-mail or by phone to
resolve any issues regarding purchases or products. In the event
that merchandise is damaged in shipment, please retain damaged
merchandise, records and all packing materials
for possible inspection by carrier. Customer must file a
claim against the carrier for

Any amount above this may require the purchase of more insurance.
If returning merchandise via the The Post Office (USPS) they do not
normally insure parcels therefore you might need to purchase

Specialty grain question: When the manufacturer recommends a percentage of grains to use (say, 5-10% of total grist) can you give me a good formula to use to help translate this for the extract brewers? --for example: making 5 gallons of beer using, maybe, 6lbs of extract...how much of a grain would 5-10% be? I received my brewing kit from Homebrew Heaven for Christmas, and will be making the Vanilla Weizen. In the kit, the specialty grains have the cheesecloth bag. For my next brew, I'm planning on piecing together my own recipe, and was wondering if I order the specialty grains do you package those with the cheesecloth as well, or do I need to purchase it seperately?

I have noticed that all grain recipes often call for specialty grains. Am I supposed to mash the specialty grains with the base grains or do I add them after the mashing prior to the boil using a grain bag as I would if I were brewing an extract recipe?

I have a recipe that calls for 10L Crystal Malt, but you only offer down to 20L. What would be the result of substituting 10L for 20L? Would it just affect the color or would the taste be affected as well?

I noticed in the specialty grain section that you recommend to remove grains from the wort (in extract brewing) around 170 degrees F. All the recipes I've followed have me boil the grains in the muslin bag for some time, then remove them. Any advice, reasons, knowledge know-how is greatly appreciated.

Hi! I have brewed a few batches of beer, and all have turned out well. I'm ready to move onto a more intermediate level. I've been reading about using strainers and "sparging" the grains when they're done steeping. I have the concept I think, but I was wondering if this step is even necessary if I'm using a nylon straining bag for the grains?
