1/6/2013 -- I'm purchasing the 8 gallon brew pot with stainless steel spigot. What is the outside diameter of the spigot? I plan to use a hose to transfer the wort from the brew pot to the fermentor and I don't know what size to order.
Response From Homebrew Heaven: The spigot comes with a female (1/2" NPT) on the outlet end, so to use it in this way, you will need a barbed fitting that screws into the spigot. See below for links to these products.

12/19/2004 -- I just bought a 9 gallon brew kettle with the spigot kit installed. After brewing my first batch of beer, I have now realized how useful a barbed fitting on the "out" side would be.. can you tell me the dimensions and thread size of your spigot kit so I can go and buy one for use on my next brew? I could probably find something like it at . . .
Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, barbed fittings are easy to obtain. The thread size is 1/2" NPT, and you can get different sized barbs. We have them too, of course. Shipping charges are pretty nominal. Maybe you need something beside the fitting?
