11/11/2008 -- I am a diehard kegger, but would like to try bottling some of each batch to see how age treats my beer (it never lasts that long in the keg). Is it possible to add a “pinch” of DME or corn sugar to each bottle before filling to naturally carbonate? If so what would the appropriate amount of sugar be? And is this the best option?

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, this is possible. Try using about 1/2 teaspoon of corn sugar per 12 oz bottle. Slightly more, if using DME. It's difficult to be very accurate using this method, but it can be done.
If using 1 liter bottles, try using about 1.5 tsp per bottle.

1/28/2007 -- I bought a couple cases of these bottles a few years ago and there were blue ones but were out of stock at the time. Have those been discontinued or will they be available again?

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Very little difference at all. Maybe for LONG term storage glass is better, but hey...who does that? I prefer to drink my beer than to look at it.

4/30/2006 -- in regards to e-z cap bottles...Can these be stored for long periods of time? I like to keep 22oz bottles with oxycaps for extended lengths of time.
2nd if there is no oxegen absorbing feture with these bottles, is there any thing that can be added to absorb oxegen?

No, I wouldn't add any anti-oxidants. Not necessary.

Response From Homebrew Heaven: The largest I have seen in this style is 1 liter, which is approximatly 34 oz.
We don't have them, but I understand you can also buy 64 oz. "growlers" out there somewhere.
6/14/2004 -- Back when you had your old website, you offered these in blue and brown. Is the blue version still available? Also, there used to be a volume discount for 3(?) or more cases. Is that still available?

We may get some in the future, but for now, that is it.
We also had to eliminate the volume discount some time ago. Our price keeps climbing on these, and we had to pass some of it on.
3/25/2004 -- I want to use the 33oz flip top to get beer from a brewery in Colorado. They do not bottle the beer and it only comes in kegs. How long can I expect the beer to last in the flip top bottles? I would like to buy from your store in person. Is that possible?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: It will last a long time if you fill it completely. No problem there. The problem is filling the bottle. You will get a fair amount of foaming as it hits the bottom. If you have a patient pourer, who can pour and then let it sit, then pour some more...it will work.

Response From Homebrew Heaven: Yes, these bottles come with the necessary gaskets. We also sell replacement gaskets if you need them.
9/29/2003 -- do you plan on carrying 24oz version of this anytime in the near future?
Response From Homebrew Heaven: We've never seen them offered, so no...sorry! We've only seen the 16 oz and 1 liter (33 oz) sizes.
